Our Health Risk reports help you learn how your genetics can influence your chances for certain diseases.

The Health Risk reports tell you if you have genetic variants associated with an increased risk of developing certain health conditions - such as Alzheimer's Disease or Familial Hypercholesterolemia. While having a particular variant can be linked to a higher risk for a condition, it does not necessarily mean you will develop the condition. It is important to remember that these reports do not cover all possible genetic variants that could influence risk for these conditions and that other non-genetic factors, such as environment and lifestyle, can also influence risk for these conditions.

What will I receive? Where do I access the list of currently available reports?

DNA Explorer reports on 40 health and wellness traits: health risks, nutrition, fitness and other wellness traits.
Only one kit is needed per person regardless of the service purchased. Once you have purchased DNA Explorer, you will have the option to get other trait reports released in the future, for an additional fee.

How accurate are the reports?

Advanx Health provides genetic service with rigorous standards:

• Saliva samples are processed in ISO17025-accredited laboratory in a renowned research institute in Malaysia.
• Our laboratory personnels are scientists that are trained in running the workflow with high stringency.
• Your personalised reports are based on curated database of well-established, peer-reviewed publications.
• Your reports are also proof read by PhD scientists, and there will be citations in the report for all contents.

Are the reports provided by DNA Explorer diagnostic?

No, Advanx Health do not provide any reports that can diagnose any health conditions or provide medical advice.
Advanx Health's Health Risk reports tells you if you have increase risk of developing certain health conditions based on your genes. Even if you have the genetic variants that can be linked to an increased risk of developing certain health condition, it does not necessarily mean you will develop the health condition. It is the same vice versa, if you do not have the genetic variants that can be linked to an increased risk of developing certain health condition, it does not mean that you will not develop the health condition in the future. 
It is very important to note that the reports provided do not cover all possible genetic variations that influences your risk for these conditions. It is also important to know that other factors like environment and lifestyle, can also influence your risk of developing these health conditions. 
We recommend that you consult with a healthcare professional if the condition runs in your family, if you think you might have the condition or if you have any questions about genetic or non-genetic risk factors that you may have.

Will I receive a printed copy of my results?

Your results will be available through your account on our secure portal. In order to view your results and information, you must sign in to our portal. Advanx Health do not provide printed copies through the mail or provide your data through email.
